This website is operated by Burnt Mtn. Studios and is powered by Shopify. These Terms of Service apply to your use of the website and to purchases made through it. By visiting the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked on the site.

Products and handmade variation

We make and sell wood travel maps, signs, wall art, DIY kits, and related products. Product photographs and descriptions are intended to represent each item accurately. Because wood is a natural material and many products are made to order, grain, knots, color, stain absorption, and other characteristics will vary. Screen colors may also differ from the finished item. These variations are not defects.

Personalization and digital proofs

You are responsible for entering names, dates, wording, and other personalization accurately. If a digital proof is requested or required, review it carefully. Production begins after approval, and approved spelling, layout, dates, and wording become the basis for the finished product. Requests to change an order are not guaranteed after production begins and may extend the production timeline.

DIY map kits

DIY kits require assembly and finishing by the customer. Follow the instructions provided with the kit or on the website. Finished results can vary based on tools, materials, technique, and working conditions. DIY kits are offered only in the sizes shown as available on the product page.

Prices and availability

Prices, product options, descriptions, and availability may change without notice. We may correct errors or cancel an order affected by incorrect pricing, unavailable inventory, suspected fraud, or a technical error. If we cancel a paid order, the applicable payment will be refunded.

Orders and payment

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we confirm it and begin fulfillment. You agree to provide current and accurate billing, shipping, and order information. Payments are processed by Shopify and the payment providers offered at checkout.

Production and shipping

Production time is separate from carrier transit time. Most maps are made in 7–10 business days, and personalized items or orders with a digital proof may take longer. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. The Shipping Policy provides additional details.

Returns, cancellations, and problems

Because most items are made to order or personalized, returns and exchanges are not accepted except where required by law or as stated in the Return and Refund Policy. Contact us promptly through the website contact form about damage, defects, or an item that differs from the order. Cancellation or change requests are not guaranteed after production begins.

Intellectual property

The website, product designs, photographs, graphics, text, branding, downloadable instructions, and other content are owned by or licensed to Burnt Mtn. Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use purchased products for personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce, manufacture from, resell, or commercially distribute our designs or digital content without written permission.

Acceptable use

You may not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity; interfere with the site's operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; submit malicious code; scrape or copy content at scale; or violate the rights of Burnt Mtn. Studios or others.

Third-party services

The website may use or link to services operated by Shopify and other third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services outside our control.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided as available without warranties not expressly stated here. Burnt Mtn. Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or products. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful use of the site, violation of these terms, or infringement of another party's rights.

Severability and waiver
