A ventilated area prepped with newspaper or a drop cloth
Step 1: Staining
Wearing gloves, stir the wood stain thoroughly.
In order to maintain the cleanest look - gently apply the stain with a lint-free cloth, using minimal stain over the whole map and frame, especially on the personalized plaque.
Immediately wipe off any excess.
Allow the pieces to dry according to the instructions on the stain container.
Step 2: Layout
On a protected surface, arrange the map pieces using the outlines on the base layer as your guide.
Step 3: Assemble Map and Frame
Once the stain has dried, apply a small amount of super glue or CA glue to the back of the top layer pieces.
Position each piece to fully cover the outlines on the layer beneath, pressing firmly for a secure bond.
For the frame, apply glue to the back of the frame pieces and align them with the outer edge of the base layer.
Press down on the frame firmly to ensure it is well attached. Allow the glue to cure fully as per the manufacturer's recommendations before moving the map.
